15th Nov 2014

It was night time by the time we arrived in Bahrain. Once we had made it through customs, collected our baggage, located the car hire, and found our hotel, it was rather late on in the evening. We settled in for the night, and enjoyed the comfort of our accommodation........Monkey particularly liked his king size bed, and was delighted to find arabic top cat on the TV.

In the morning we threw back the curtains and were greeted by a very unexpected view.....Good Morning Bahrain!

We were there to shoot the FIA WEC 6hr of Bahrain, but there were also a few surprises in store.

Prior to the race, Red Bull daredevil Jokke Sommer and Bahraini rally driver Abdo Feghali thrilled everyone with an awesome stunt. Sommer, jumped from a helicopter in a wing-suit, and 'flew' onto the grid, right into the middle of high speed 'donuts' performed by Feghali. Between us, we managed to capture some awesome pictures.

We also had a VIP guest, who came to catch up with some old friends, and take in the race ahead of his own F1 event the following week in Abu Dabi.

It was great to get the opportunity to meet Fernando Alonso and take some portraits of the double F1 World Champion.

The last evening was spent frantically trying to get all the edits done, with the help of a selection of beverages, and a singular packet of dipdap! With our departing flight leaving at 2.10am, it was a race against the clock.

Our last memory of Bahrain, was the sun setting over the floodlit circuit - stunning!
